Itinerary Helmets furnished at the Saltworks of Bex at Bévieux. Entrance by the 'La Barmaz' Gallery. Ascent to the 'Puit du Bouillet' (45 m) by ladders, then by small train into the mine. Hike up the 'Grand Escalier' (Staircase, 734 steps). Partial visit of the 'Coulat' level, the galleries and work levels of the 18th century. Snack pause at the 'Chambre de la Roue'. Ascent of the 'Escalier Ruiné' to the 'Fondement'. Pilgrimage to the fist saline source found in 1684 by Maxime Roche. Exit towards the Gryonne River via the oldest of the galleries. Return to the Saltworks by car, previously parked at 'Fondement' (30 min. before departure).
